The Pinball Hall of Fame is just the thing to take your mind off gambling for a while. The place has a grand total of almost 700 machines, some of which are restored to their former glory. The Pinball Hall of Fame is also home to the aptly titled “Miracle on 34th Street”. A half mile outdoor track features the Gene Woods Racing Experience. You can play for free. While this is an oldie, it’s still a good time. The place is also home to the Las Vegas Pinball Museum, a half-museum that’s a must see. It’s a surprisingly large collection of pinball games from the 1950s to present. There’s also a small museum with a well-designed clock.
The Pinball Hall of Fame is located across from the Mandalay Bay hotel and across from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. The best time to visit is during the lunch hour or evening, and the place is free to enter. The machines are well restored to their former glory. Among the more interesting games are Bally’s Pinball Circus, Williams’ Black Gold, and the Asteroids. There are also some novelty items on display, including a replica of the famous Ferris wheel. The most interesting part of this attraction is the fact that it’s open to the public and is a free attraction.
The Pinball Hall of Fame is not just about displaying the best of the best, it’s also about giving people a good time. For a nominal fee, you can play one of the many arcade games in the hall.
